Wayanad Landslide Death Toll Rises to 5; Rescue Teams Continue Search for Missing
WAYANAD (KERALA): The death toll in the Wayanad landslide climbed to five on Thursday after rescue teams recovered two more bodies from the disaster site, Kerala ministers A P Anil Kumar and T Siddique said. Addressing reporters, the ministers said one body was recovered from Zone 1 of the designated search area during the morning operation, while the second was found in the nearby river.
Search and rescue efforts are continuing as authorities work to trace those still missing following the landslide.
