Srinagar Airport Suspends All Commercial Flight Operations on Monday

SRINAGAR: No commercial flights will operate from Srinagar Airport on Monday as airlines continue to restore their flight schedules following the withdrawal of the previously proposed runway closure notice, airport authorities said.

The airport clarified that the earlier proposed Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), which envisaged a full runway closure on Mondays and Tuesdays, has been withdrawn. The decision will ensure uninterrupted daytime flight operations at the airport going forward. However, despite the withdrawal of the NOTAM, airlines have not scheduled any commercial services for Monday as they work to realign their flight operations.

In a post, Srinagar Airport said, “There are no scheduled commercial flights operating today from Srinagar Airport as confirmed by the respective airlines.”

The withdrawal of the proposed runway closure is expected to improve connectivity by allowing regular daytime operations without the planned weekly disruptions.
