Punjab Police Nab 9, Including 4 Minors, in ISI-Backed Terror Module Crackdown

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Police busted two ISI-backed cross-border terror modules on Tuesday. In a major counter-terrorism operation, Punjab Police arrested nine accused, including four juveniles. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said the operation, carried out by the Amritsar Commissionerate Police, led to the recovery of three illegal pistols, four petrol bottle bombs, and nine live cartridges.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were acting on the instructions of foreign-based ISI handlers, who were allegedly recruiting local youth to carry out terror-related activities, conduct surveillance of security installations, procure illegal weapons, and disrupt public peace. Police said further investigation is underway to identify the wider network and trace other conspirators.
