New Court Complexes in Kerala key Investment in Accessible Justice: CJI
NEW DELHI: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant said the new court complexes at Irinjalakuda and Chavakkad are an important investment in meeting the growing need for justice and bringing courts closer to people.
Virtually inaugurating the complexes on Tuesday, the CJI said the Kerala government had invested Rs 100 crore in the projects. He noted that nearly 30,000 civil and over one lakh criminal cases are pending in the district, highlighting the increasing pressure on courts as society becomes more complex.
