Onam Cheers: Kerala Liquor Sales Surpass Rs 700 Crore in 8 Days
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Liquor sales through Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) outlets touched a record Rs 771.29 crore during the first eight days of the 10-day Onam festive season, Excise Department officials said. Sales till August 25 were significantly higher than the Rs 694.96 crore recorded during the corresponding period of last year’s Onam season, marking an increase of over Rs 76 crore.
