Jacqueline Fernandez withdraws Supreme Court plea in Rs 200 crore money laundering case.
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez to withdraw her plea challenging a Delhi court order that framed charges which is allowed by The Supreme Court on Thursday. She had charged against her in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
A bench comprising Justices B V Nagarathna and Joymalya Bagchi permitted the withdrawal after counsel for Fernandez sought liberty to pursue an appropriate legal remedy. “Fernandez who is the counsel for the petitioner has sought permission to withdraw this special leave petition with liberty to avail appropriate remedy in accordance with law,” the bench observed.
Accepting the request, the apex court dismissed the petition as withdrawn and granted the liberty sought by the actor.
