India-Japan Summit Highly Successful; MEA Says 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties to Be Celebrated in 2027
NEW DELHI: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi concluded her official visit that India and Japan on Friday reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership further. Her visit will be beneficial with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) describing the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit as “highly successful”.
The MEA said the summit reinforced the resolve of both countries to nurture a partnership that is central to their shared growth and prosperity while also serving as a key pillar for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
“India and Japan remain committed to advancing a partnership. This is essential to the shared growth and prosperity of both nations,” the ministry said on the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s. Highlighting the strategic significance of bilateral ties, the MEA said the India-Japan partnership continues to act as an anchor for promoting peace, prosperity, and stability in the Indo-Pacific amid evolving regional and global challenges.
Announcing the conclusion of the visit, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Prime Minister Takaichi had departed India following the “highly successful” summit. “A memorable visit concludes, advancing India-Japan partnership towards shared horizons. PM following the highly successful 16th India-Japan Annual Summit @takaichi_sanae of Japan departs from India. Jaiswal said, she was seen off by Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh”.
