IndiGo Turns 20, Celebrating Two Decades of Transforming Indian Aviation

New Delhi: IndiGo on Wednesday celebrated 20 years of operations, marking two decades of providing reliable, affordable and on-time air connectivity across India and overseas. Since launching its first flight between Delhi and Imphal via Guwahati on August 4, 2006, the airline has expanded from a single aircraft to a fleet of over 430 aircraft serving more than 140 destinations. IndiGo now operates nearly 2,200 daily flights and has flown almost 900 million passengers, emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines while playing a key role in India’s aviation growth.
