Some districts of coastal Odisha and adjoining areas will continue to experience extreme hot and humid weather till the 9th of this month. The CEC Director of the University of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) and eminent meteorological scientist Dr. Sarat Chandra Sahu estimated that due to the trough line running over central India, the winds from the Bay of Bengal are not reaching the state. Therefore, there is less water vapor. Due to this, the temperature has suddenly increased. The effect of the trough will decrease in 2/3 days. However, the heat wave in the state may continue till the 11th. Pre-monsoon thunderstorm may increase from 11th. There is a possibility of light rainfall in the state around 13th-14th. This time, the monsoon may possibly enter Odisha with only light rainfall.
