Bandh Impact: Private Schools to Remain Shut, Panjab University Postpones Exams on Aug 21

CHANDIGARH: A federation of private schools in Punjab has announced a holiday on Friday in view of the ‘Punjab Bandh’ call given by the Qaumi Insaf Morcha to seek the release of ‘Bandi Singhs’ (Sikh prisoners).

The bandh is scheduled from 7 am to 2 pm on August 21. Meanwhile, Panjab University has postponed exams scheduled for Friday for students who could not appear earlier. The exams will now be held on September 10 to avoid inconvenience to students.
