1994-Batch IPS Officer Anurag Kumar Appointed Delhi Police Commissioner
NEW DELHI: Senior IPS officer Anurag Kumar on Friday assumed charge as the new Commissioner of Delhi Police, succeeding Satish Golcha as the top police officer in the national capital. Kumar formally took over the charge on Friday, marking a change in the leadership of the Delhi Police.

His predecessor, Satish Golcha, a 1992-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, has been directed by the Centre to report to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for his next posting, according to the official order.
