US-Based Organizations Express Solidarity with Activist Sonam Wangchuk

Washington: Activists from US-based advocacy groups gathered near the Mahatma Gandhi statue outside the Indian Embassy in Washington on Friday to express solidarity with Sonam Wangchuk, who is on a hunger strike in New Delhi over alleged irregularities in the examination system, including NEET. Members of Hindus for Human Rights and the Azadi Project held placards supporting Wangchuk, raised slogans against the Indian government, and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
