Commercial LPG Prices Hiked Again; 19 Kg Cylinder Costlier by Rs 42

New Delhi: Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been increased once again, adding to the burden on businesses and consumers. Amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, oil marketing companies have raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders and 5 kg LPG cylinders across the country.

The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 42, while the price of a 5 kg LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 11. Following the latest revision, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen to Rs 3,113, while the 5 kg cylinder now costs Rs 821.50.

However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder used in households, which continues to be available at Rs 913.

Oil companies review and revise LPG prices on the first day of every month. This marks the fourth increase in commercial LPG prices since the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq conflict earlier this year. In April, commercial LPG prices were raised by Rs 195.50, while another increase of Rs 115 was announced in March.

Prices of 5 kg cylinders have also witnessed repeated hikes. In May, the price was increased by Rs 261, following a Rs 51 hike in April.

The continuous rise in commercial LPG prices is expected to impact restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that rely heavily on LPG, potentially leading to higher food and service costs for consumers.
