Dr Anshu Kataria Appeals to UGC, AICTE for Extension of Admission Deadline till October 30
NEW DELHI: The Federation of Self-Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI) has urged the UGC, AICTE, Ministry of Education and other regulatory authorities to extend the admission deadline for technical and professional courses from August 14 to October 30, 2026.
FSFTI President Dr. Anshu Kataria said floods, delays in examinations and results, counselling uncertainty and unclear norms for allied healthcare courses have disrupted students’ admission decisions. While UGC and AICTE-regulated courses currently have an August 14 deadline, the Pharmacy Council of India has permitted admissions until September 15.
