Odisha Police Bust Inter-State Cybercrime Racket, 5 Arrested

ROURKELA: Five people have been arrested after Odisha Police busted an inter-state cybercrime racket, officials said on Wednesday.

Acting on a complaint filed at Udit Nagar police station on August 6, police first arrested Rourkela resident Jyotish Prasad Verma, 29, alias Tilak Mahato, who was involved in the momo business. Verma allegedly transferred money received through fraudulent transactions after cheating unsuspecting victims, police said. Further investigation led to the arrest of four more people in connection with the racket.
