2020 Delhi Riots: HC Seeks Delhi Police Response on Appeals by Two Convicts in IB Staffer Murder Case
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the Delhi Police’s response to appeals filed by convicts Nazim and Kasim in the murder case of Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 northeast Delhi riots. A bench of Justices Prathiba M Singh and Vikas Mahajan admitted their appeals and issued notice to the prosecution. The court also sought a response on their pleas seeking suspension of their life sentences and listed the matter for hearing on December 2.
