Floods Worsen Across Odisha, Over 1 Lakh People Affected

BHUBANESWAR: The flood situation in Odisha remained grim on Wednesday, with over 1 lakh people still affected across six districts despite receding water levels in major rivers, officials said. A total of 79 rescue teams have been deployed in Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur and Koraput. Bhadrak remained the worst affected, with 75,432 people in 70 villages impacted, while over 21,000 people in 41 villages in Jajpur were also affected by the floods.
