Heavy rains halt Amarnath, Vaishno Devi, and Shiv Khori pilgrimages for the second consecutive day.

Jammu: The annual pilgrimages to the holy shrines of Amarnath, Mata Vaishnodevi, and Shiv Khori in Jammu and Kashmir remained suspended for the second consecutive day on Monday due to heavy rainfall.

Authorities advised devotees to stay at designated base camps and lodging centres as a precaution. The administration said the Amarnath Yatra will remain suspended until further orders following adverse weather forecasts by the Meteorological Department, and no pilgrim vehicles will be allowed to travel from Jammu, Udhampur, or Ramban towards Srinagar.
