India run riot, hammer Indonesia 14-0 in Junior Asia Cup opener
MOQI (China): India launched their title defence at the AHF Junior Men’s Asia Cup in emphatic fashion, thrashing Indonesia 14-0 in their opening Pool a match here on Saturday.
The five-time champions dominated proceedings from the outset, with Captain Anmol Ekka, Prabhdeep Singh and Ajeet Yadav accounting for 12 of India’s 14 goals.
Prabhdeep was the standout performer, scoring five goals to be named Player of the Match. Skipper Anmol added four goals, while Yadav completed a hat-trick as India underlined their credentials with a ruthless attacking display.
The commanding victory gives India an ideal start to their campaign as they look to defend the title successfully.
