Mayawati slams SP over including Pandits in PDA, says party changing colours like ‘chameleon’

LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Saturday criticised the Samajwadi Party (SP) over its outreach to Brahmins, accusing it of changing its political stance like a “chameleon” for caste-based politics and electoral gains.

In a post, Mayawati said the BSP follows the Ambedkarite principle of “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya” and works for the welfare of all sections of society. She said the four BSP governments in Uttar Pradesh were also run on this principle, unlike the SP, which she accused of pursuing narrow casteist interests.
