Bengaluru Police Launch ‘Operation Mukta’ to Identify Illegal Immigrants
BENGALURU: The Bengaluru City Police on Saturday launched a special drive, ‘Operation Mukta’, to identify suspected illegal immigrants living in the city. Searches were conducted at more than 30 locations in the Whitefield division and several areas of Electronic City. Whitefield DCP Saidulla Adavath said over 500 police personnel were involved in the operation in the division, describing it as a continuous and regular exercise.
