NEW DELHI: Birthday wishes poured in for Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as he turned 56 on Friday, with leaders across the political spectrum extending greetings.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge led the wishes, praising Gandhi for his unwavering commitment to championing the rights of the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised sections of society. In a post on X, Kharge lauded Gandhi’s leadership, saying he has consistently stood with the people through direct engagement and has shown the courage to speak truth to power.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the Congress leader on his birthday. “Best wishes to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, on his birthday. Praying for his good health and long life,” Modi said in a post on X.
