Raj Thackeray Demands Action against Satam Over ‘Insensitive’ Smile on Mumbai Rain Deaths

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday demanded action against Mumbai BJP president Ameet Satam after a viral video showed the BJP leader smiling while speaking about rain-related deaths in the city.

In a Facebook post addressed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Thackeray said the incident reflected the growing perception that the BJP leadership had become arrogant due to the power it enjoys.

Referring to the viral clip, Thackeray questioned the sensitivity displayed while discussing fatalities caused by heavy rains and urged the chief minister to take appropriate action against Satam.
