India Gets First Greenfield Integrated Refinery-Cum-Petrochemical Complex as PM Modi Inaugurates Mega Project

PACHPADRA (Rajasthan): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated India’s first Greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex to the nation at Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district, hailing the project as a milestone in the country’s journey towards energy security and industrial growth.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the state-of-the-art complex by pressing a remote button after touring the sprawling refinery facility and reviewing its key infrastructure. The mega project is expected to significantly transform the economic landscape of western Rajasthan by generating large-scale employment, attracting downstream industries, and enhancing regional infrastructure.

Describing the project as a landmark achievement for India’s energy and petrochemical sector, Modi said the integrated refinery would strengthen domestic refining capacity, reduce import dependence, and boost the country’s petrochemical production.
