3 Killed, 3 Injured as Truck Crashes into Stationary Bus on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway

Jaipur: Three people were killed and three others injured after a speeding truck crashed into a stationary private bus on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway near Dudu in Rajasthan’s Jaipur district early Monday, police said.

The accident took place in the Mokhampura police station area when the bus, travelling from Chittorgarh to Jaipur with around 20 passengers on board, suffered a mechanical failure after its axle broke, forcing the driver to pull over to the roadside.

According to police, the passengers and the driver had stepped out of the vehicle when a truck approaching from behind rammed into the stationary bus at high speed. The impact claimed the lives of the bus driver, Sataram (30), along with Madhuraj (30) and Rahul (29), who were standing near the bus at the time of the collision.
