Delhi HC to Take Up Gadkari’s Deepfake Petition against Meta, Others on Aug 5
Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday said it would hear on August 5 a civil suit filed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari against Meta, X Corp, Google LLC and unidentified persons over allegedly defamatory deepfake and AI-generated posts related to the ethanol policy.
Justice Arif Doctor directed Gadkari’s counsel, Sandeep Ladda, to serve copies of the suit on the respondents. The minister has sought a permanent injunction against the circulation of the alleged fake content and an immediate takedown of all fabricated posts, claiming they have harmed his reputation.
