Govt Introduces Anti-Paper Leak Bill in Lok Sabha amid Opposition Uproar

New Delhi: The government on Monday introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, proposing stricter measures to curb paper leaks, amid continued Opposition protests over the police action against students demonstrating on the NEET issue. Union Minister Jitendra Singh introduced the bill shortly before Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla adjourned the House till 2 pm due to disruptions.

Opposition members demanded a government response to the police crackdown on students during the CJP-led march to Parliament on July 20 over alleged examination irregularities.
