PM Modi Receives Indonesia’s Highest Honour ‘Bintang Adipurna’ During Jakarta Visit
JAKARTA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Tuesday conferred with Indonesia’s highest civilian honour, the ‘Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia’, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and deepen cooperation between the two nations.
The prestigious award was presented to Modi by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto during an official ceremony in Jakarta. Expressing gratitude after receiving the honour, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the award to the people of India and highlighted the enduring friendship between India and Indonesia, which has expanded cooperation across key areas such as trade, defence, maritime security, connectivity, and cultural exchanges.
“I have also been conversed with Indonesia’s highest honour (belongs to the crores of Indians) this morning with immense affection. It belongs to the sentiments of the people of Indonesia, to the historic and intimate ties between India and Indonesia,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a post.
