Delhi Fully Prepared to Tackle Seasonal Influenza Cases: Health Minister
NEW DELHI: Delhi has reported 2,392 influenza-A cases, including 1,777 H1N1 infections, so far this year, Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said, asserting that the capital is fully equipped to handle the seasonal rise in cases.
Singh attended a meeting chaired by Union Health Minister J P Nadda to review Delhi’s preparedness for seasonal influenza and vector-borne diseases. He said there was no shortage of hospital beds, doctors, medicines, or essential medical equipment, while patient numbers were being closely monitored and hospital arrangements were being strengthened as required.
