‘Amar Gram Amar Kalpana’ Launched in Bengal’s Malda to Boost Border Village Development
KOLKATA: The Malda district administration in West Bengal has launched ‘Amar Gram Amar Kalpana’, a participatory planning initiative to promote community-led development in villages along the India-Bangladesh border.
Introduced under the Centre’s Vibrant Village Programme (VVP), the initiative aims to involve residents in identifying local development priorities and incorporating them into village action plans to improve basic services and livelihood opportunities. An interactive session was held in Adampur, Muchia gram panchayat, where villagers shared their suggestions with District Magistrate Rajanvir Singh Kapur and local MLA Gopal Chandra Saha.
