Jaishankar Meets UN Chief Guterres, Reviews Global Situation and Regional Conflicts

UNITED NATIONS: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday. He not only discussed key global developments, but also the conditions in West Asia, Ukraine, and Sudan.

Calling the meeting “always good,” Jaishankar made the brief remark to reporters as he left the UN headquarters. Earlier, he formally launched India’s campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2028-29 term at an event attended by UN ambassadors, diplomats, and officials.
