Delhi Assembly Bomb Threat Turns Out to Be a Hoax after Extensive Search
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Assembly received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday morning, prompting security agencies to launch a search of the premises, but the threat was later found to be a hoax, police said.
The threat was received at around 8:39 am, following which security agencies were alerted and necessary security checks were initiated, officials said.
Sources said Delhi Assembly Speaker Bijender Gupta received the threatening email.
After an extensive search of the Assembly premises, no suspicious object or explosive was found, and the threat was declared a hoax, police said.
