India Rushes More Relief Supplies to Nepal as Flood Crisis Deepens
NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday dispatched over five tonnes of essential medicines to flood-hit Nepal as the fifth tranche of relief assistance, along with an 11-member rescue team.
The death toll from last week’s devastating flash floods in Nepal has crossed 1,000, while more than 12,000 people have been rescued. Around 4,000 people remain missing as search and rescue operations continue.
