J-K’s Kathua: Police Thwart Cattle Smuggling, Rescue 36 Bovines
JAMMU: Police on Friday foiled two alleged cattle-smuggling attempts in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, rescuing 36 animals and arresting three people, officials said.
In the first incident, police intercepted a truck at the dispatch point in Lakhanpur while conducting checks. The vehicle was allegedly travelling from Punjab towards Jammu and was being driven by Mohd Saleem, a resident of Beli Charana in Jammu, they said.
