21-year-old student’s murder in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar: Accused held

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old gym trainer, Aqib alias Imran, accused of stabbing a 21-year-old Delhi University student to death at her apartment in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar on August 26, was arrested following an exchange of fire with police on Friday.

Police said over 15 teams had been deployed to track the accused, who kept changing hideouts after the killing. Acting on a tip-off, Special Staff and Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) teams laid a trap and apprehended him, an officer said.
