Monsoon Session’s Opening Day Ends in Repeated Adjournments amid Uproar

NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha witnessed repeated disruptions on the opening day of the Monsoon Session on Monday, with proceedings being adjourned four times as opposition members protested over the alleged NEET paper leak and alleged donation theft at the Ram temple.

Opposition MPs raised slogans and displayed placards soon after the House assembled at 11 am, forcing Speaker Om Birla to adjourn proceedings till noon during Question Hour. Birla also expressed displeasure over members raising slogans while obituary references to six former MPs were being read, calling it an inappropriate precedent.
