President Murmu Reaches Moldova, Marking First-Ever Visit by an Indian Head of State
CHISINAU (Moldova): President Droupadi Murmu on Monday arrived in Moldova on the first-ever visit by an Indian head of state, marking a historic milestone in bilateral ties as part of her three-nation tour of Europe.
She was welcomed by Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi at Chisinau International Airport, according to the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
During the first leg of her visit, President Murmu is scheduled to hold delegation-level talks with Moldovan President Maia Sandu and meet Parliament President Igor Grosu. The visit is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade, technology, and tourism.
