Opposition MPs Protest in Parliament, Demand Shah Apologies Over Student Crackdown

NEW DELHI: Opposition MPs, led by Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, staged a protest in the Parliament House complex on Monday against the alleged police brutality on students protesting the NEET paper leak issue and demanded an apology from Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, TMC’s Mahua Moitra and JMM’s Mahua Maji also joined the demonstration. Separately, DMK MPs protested, seeking a ban on NEET. The opposition has vowed to continue pressing the government over the issue, with Rahul Gandhi writing to Shah demanding accountability for the alleged use of excessive force against student protesters.
