BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi of ‘Manufacturing Protest’ with ‘False’ AK-47 Claim
New Delhi: The BJP on Monday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to “manufacture a protest” and create an atmosphere of anarchy by claiming that AK-47 rifles were used against agitating students in Bihar.
Calling the allegation “deeply unfortunate” and “a sin”, the ruling party demanded that the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha apologise for spreading what it termed “falsehoods”. The BJP’s response came after Gandhi, in a post on X, cited reports alleging the use of AK-47 rifles against protesting students and claimed that hundreds had been arrested and booked under FIRs.
