PM Modi: India Recognised Globally for World’s Largest Healthcare Programme
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India has made significant strides in making quality healthcare affordable and accessible over the past 12 years, highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare infrastructure and services.
In a post on X, Modi said the nation takes pride in being home to the world’s largest healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat, which provides quality medical treatment to the most vulnerable sections of society. He emphasized that the scheme has played a key role in expanding healthcare coverage and ensuring financial protection for millions of families. “Over the last 12 years, India has worked to make quality healthcare more affordable and accessible,” the Prime Minister said, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving public health outcomes and expanding access to medical facilities across the country.
