Sudhakaran Says CPI (M) Leaders Need ‘School for the Elderly’ to Improve Public Conduct

ALAPPUZHA (Kerala): Escalating his confrontation with the CPI(M), former minister and Ambalapuzha MLA G Sudhakaran on Monday took a fresh swipe at the party leadership, suggesting that its leaders attend a “school for the elderly” to learn how to behave with the public.

The remarks come amid an intensifying rift between Sudhakaran and the CPI (M) after he chose not to renew his party membership and later contested the Assembly election from Ambalappuzha as an Independent with UDF backing. His repeated criticism of the party and its leadership had recently triggered protests by CPI (M) workers, who confronted him over his remarks.
