‘Won’t Spare Those Who Touched People’s Money’: TN Finance Minister Targets Previous DMK Regime

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Finance Minister N Marie Wilson on Wednesday asserted that the state government is committed to ensuring a corruption-free and transparent administration, saying Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay remains firm in his resolve to safeguard public funds. Presenting the revised Budget Estimates for 2026-27 in the Assembly, Wilson outlined measures to strengthen revenue mobilisation and curb corruption. Declaring a zero-tolerance approach, he said the government would not allow anyone to misuse taxpayers’ money and warned that those found guilty, including those who had misappropriated public funds in the past, would face strict action.
