According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has already been arrived on June 8, 2026, in the west-central and east-central parts of the Arabian Sea, as well as in some areas of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Heavy rainfall is likely to happen in the coastal areas of South India this week.
As for today’s weather, several areas of Mumbai will remain partly cloudy on June 9. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in some areas. The temperature is likely to range between 27°C and 33°C. Meanwhile, Mumbai may experience light to moderate rain, with heavy rains in some places, over the next 2-3 days. In such a situation, the rain is expected to reduce humidity and provide relief from the heat.
