India Achieved 7.8% Growth despite Global Wars, Instability: PM Modi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised the people for India’s 7.8 per cent GDP growth, saying the achievement came despite wars, global instability and supply chain disruptions.

In a video message on Instagram, Modi urged citizens to promote Swadeshi and self-reliance, saying this would help build a developed India for the country’s youth by the 100th year of Independence. He also appealed to people to avoid foreign holidays, overseas weddings and unnecessary gold purchases.
