Nifty Could Hit Record High as Fair Value Stands at 27,000: Bajaj AMC CIO

India’s benchmark equity indices could be headed for fresh highs as stronger-than-expected June quarter (Q1FY27) corporate earnings boost market confidence, according to Bajaj AMC CIO Nimesh Chandan.

Chandan said the Nifty 50’s intrinsic value is around 27,000, indicating further upside and the potential for a new record high. He remains bullish on the broader market, favouring sectors such as power, technology, capital markets, consumer discretionary, and select pharmaceutical stocks, while advising investors to focus on fundamentally strong businesses rather than timing the market.
