Amid NEET Row, PM Modi Vows Strong Measures against Exam Paper Leaks

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called for the strictest possible punishment for those responsible for the NEET paper leak and stressed that preventing such incidents was a national responsibility. Speaking after the NDA Parliamentary Party’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju quoted the Prime Minister as urging collective efforts to build a foolproof examination system.

Modi also appealed to NDA partners to remain united in ensuring the smooth conduct of legislative business and urged opposition parties to cooperate in Parliament. He said that despite political differences, all MPs share the responsibility of safeguarding the country’s future and the welfare of its youth.

The remarks came amid ongoing protests over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak, with demonstrators demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The NEET exam, taken by over two million medical aspirants, was cancelled in May following allegations of a paper leak, and a retest was held last month.
