TN Education Minister Clarifies Proposal to Include Chicken Biryani in Midday Meals
ERODE (Tamil Nadu): Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan on Saturday clarified that the proposal to serve chicken biryani once a week in government school midday meals is still under consideration, and no final decision has been taken. He said he had submitted the proposal to Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, who will take the final call after evaluating it.
Addressing reporters in Erode amid the ongoing debate, the minister said Tamil Nadu’s educational progress has always been linked with nutritional welfare. He added that vegetarian meals would continue for students who prefer them, while non-vegetarian students could be served chicken biryani if the proposal is approved.
