CM Yadav’s UAE Visit Attracts Rs 53,000 Crore Investment Proposals for Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 53,000 crore across sectors including green energy, urban development, healthcare and education during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, officials said on Wednesday.
Yadav’s visit, which concluded on Tuesday, was aimed at strengthening economic ties and attracting investments to the central Indian state. During his interactions with investors and business leaders, the chief minister highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing economic potential and sought greater participation from UAE-based companies in the state’s development.
Addressing investors, Yadav drew a comparison between the transformation of Dubai and the development potential of Madhya Pradesh. He said the people of Dubai had converted their potential into global achievements through hard work, adding that Madhya Pradesh was similarly prepared to turn its resources and opportunities into tangible achievements.
The proposed investments span several key areas, with green energy, urban development, health and education emerging as important sectors. The investment proposals are expected to contribute to the state’s economic expansion, create employment opportunities and support infrastructure and development projects, officials said.
Yadav also projected Madhya Pradesh as an increasingly important contributor to India’s economic growth. He said the state is currently among the country’s major growth engines, with an economic growth rate of more than 11 per cent.
The chief minister’s UAE visit comes as Madhya Pradesh seeks to attract both domestic and international investment by showcasing its infrastructure, natural resources, industrial potential and policy environment.
During the three-day tour, Yadav engaged with investors and stakeholders to present opportunities available across various sectors and encourage them to explore projects in the state.
The investment proposals worth over Rs 53,000 crore mark a significant outcome of the visit, according to officials. The state government is expected to pursue these proposals and facilitate their progression into concrete investment commitments and projects.
The visit reflects Madhya Pradesh’s broader efforts to position itself as an attractive destination for global investors and accelerate economic development through investment in emerging and critical sectors.
