Delhi HC to Hear PIL Challenging Internet Shutdown around Jantar Mantar Today
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court is set to hear a public interest litigation (PIL) on Friday challenging the internet shutdown around Jantar Mantar, where the CJP is staging a protest over alleged examination irregularities. The plea was mentioned for urgent listing before a bench comprising Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia.
Counsel for the petitioner urged the court to take up the matter at 2:30 pm, stating that the petition challenges the internet restrictions imposed in the protest area. The bench agreed to hear the matter later in the day.
