Jabalpur Tragedy: Truck Collision Claims Lives of Man and Son, Wife Hurt

Jabalpur: A tragic hit-and-run accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district claimed the lives of a man and his minor son, while his wife sustained critical injuries after a speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle, police said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred on Monday on the Narmada Bridge along the Jabalpur-Nagpur National Highway under the jurisdiction of the Bargi police station. According to officials, the family was traveling on a motorcycle when the truck struck them at high speed. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the deaths of the man and his son on the spot. The woman, who was riding with them, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she remains under treatment in critical condition. Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene, leaving the victims behind. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the absconding driver and the vehicle involved in the incident.

Authorities are reviewing available evidence and gathering information from witnesses to identify the truck. Further investigation into the case is underway.
